Timothy is not a OOman, guys. This “Timothy” is the name given to a type of grass.
We grow it to make food (fodder) for the animals, cows and horses, in the winter when the snow covers the ground. Some people sell it to the companies who make Pet food.
Very often we mix it with another green plant called Alfalfa, which is a Legume, like a Lentil or a Pea, a Peanut or a Soybean.

Most people don’t know that rats like Timothy Hay! My bunny”s hay supply was on the other side of a blocked off door and my ratties used to pull pieces of it underneath to gnaw on, finally I just gave them their own pile! They don’t eat/need it like rabbits/guinea pigs/gerbils do for digestion/teeth wear but they love it as a treat! I like that Oxbow is sponsoring your posts, they are THE BEST in small animal nutrition and it shows me their new products! ♡♡♡
